The sandstone blocks are large pieces of sandstone that do not possess any fixed shape and that are chiseled and cut into different forms. The raw block are often used for :: Carving to make statues and monuments, and For sawing into slabs or tiles by cutter or gangsaw.
Out of the quality raw blocks, an array of beautiful artifacts are crafted out which are have no comparison in their their styles, design and finishing. These crafted stone artifacts have magnificent charisma. The exotic carvings are truly unique.
To obtain underground sandstone process of digging, blasting or cutting is used. This process is called quarrying and the pit or open excavation from which the stone is obtained is called Quarry. Once the sandstone is obtained it is further processed to make it final for the use. The typical process after quarrying involve the following four steps:
- Dressing
- Cutting/sawing
- Surface grinding and polishing and
- Edge Cutting Trimming
Once the processing is over, the stone is ready for further use.

Sandstone Care
In order to make sure that sandstone looks natural, enamouring and alluring, extensive care must be taken. When used with care sandstone lasts for years and generations. Sandstone must be kept free from dust and scratches. Various precuation to be taken are as follows:
- To keep sandstone dust free, dust it using a clean non-treated dry dust mop.
- Use warm water to clean sandstone regularly using a mop or sponge.
- The cleaner to be used should not contain acid or lemon, which can otherwise etch the surface and damage the polish and finish.
- The cleaner used should be neutral. Do not use cleaners that contain acid such as bathroom cleaners, grout cleaners or tub and tile cleaners.
- Care should be taken while using vacuum cleaner as the metal or the plastic attachments or the wheels may scratch the surface.
- Do not use scouring powders or creams; these products contain abrasives that may scratch the surface.
- Do not place hot pans directly, use trivet or mats under them.
